3D glass fabrics

Parabeam 3D glass fabrics consist of two woven layers of E-glass filament yarns, which are held apart between 3.5 and 22mm by distance threads in the z-direction.

The goods are supplied wound on a core and expand upon impregnation with resin without the need for additional materials. Sandwich laminates can thus be made in a very simple way.

Impregnation can be carried out manually, by pouring, brushing on or rolling or mechanically by spraying, pouring, dipping and squeezing.

3D fabric is easy to process and also drapes well even in complex moulds. It is easy to form lips as well as to apply loads to the edges of the components. The hollow spaces between the distance threads can be filled with various media, e.g. to produce heatable moulds.
